100x100 images for public use as LiveJournal userpics or icons

When I go through pictures I’ve taken, I often think, hey, this would make a good LiveJournal userpic. Sometimes I go so far as to actually resize and crop them appropriately. But I’ve got far more userpic-suitable pictures than I have use for, so I thought I’d make the ones I’m not using available for others to use.

I’m releasing these 100x100 images into the public domain. You are welcome to use these images for any purpose; I ask, but do not require, that you acknowledge the source. (Note that only these cropped and resized 100x100 images are in the public domain; the full-size, uncropped originals are still under my copyright. But if you’d like a larger version of one of these, feel free to ask.)

Please do not use any of my own userpics (at http://www.livejournal.com/allpics.bml?user=beowabbit) for yourself, at least not without checking in with me first. I like the fact that my userpics are unique. If I use a userpic that you’re fond of, feel free to comment or drop me a note; I may have a similar picture that I’m happy to turn into a userpic for you. (For instance, the game-board picture below is very similar to one of my userpics, but taken from a different angle.)

(Incidentally, the gecko picture below used to be one of my userpics, but I’ve retired it.)

If you use one of these images as a LiveJournal userpic, a good way to acknowledge the source (again, not mandatory) is to put “from <lj user="beowabbit"> in the Comment: field at http://www.livejournal.com/editpics.bml.

You can view these userpics in one vertical column with captions on the same page, or as a grid.
