Schnapps at Bearpaw and Lisa's, 2005.02.05

Schnapps was Tigris’ cat, who moved in with us when Tigris moved up to Boston in 1994. When our household split up in (I think) 2001, though, Tigris had a dog that Schnapps didn't get along well with, and Schnapps had bonded strongly with our housemates Bearpaw and (especially) Lisa, so they adopted Schnapps and she's been living with them since then.

Recently, Schnapps has had pretty severe kidney failure, and it's looking like she's near the end of her life (although she still seems reasonably comfortable -- she loves lying in the sun and she climbed up on my lap for a bit). I've visited her a few times, but February 5, 2005, was the first time I remembered to take pictures.

She's a lot skinnier than she was when I lived with her, and she doesn't seem to have much vision left, but she's adorable and friendly and well-loved.
