My new office at work, 2004.04.21

These are pictures of my office in the new building we’re moving into at work. “We” in this context is the College of Computer and Information Science at Northeastern University. The College has a page about the building at http://www.ccs.neu.edu/buildingh/, but the imagery there predates most of the construction.

The first four floors (of both wings) will be for the College; over one of the wings facing Huntington and the Museum of Fine Arts is a dormitory tower. (I picked an office with no windows, but my co-workers have good views of the MFA.)

Among the sterling qualities I expect in the new office:

No flooding.
No mildew.
No centipedes.
No random holes in walls.
No intensely vile smells in the restrooms.
No flooding.
No sand sifting down onto my books from holes in the ceiling.
No need to share an office.
No flooding.

So it should be great!
