Zendobun Game 1 Log

This game of Zendobun was played between 23 April 2001 and 29 May 2001. I'll put the last correct guess of the rule on a separate page in case you want to try to figure it out for yourself.
Master - James Casey
Students - Buddha Buck, Kevin Jackson-Mead, Robert Atwood, Paul Blake

James
Has: There once was a Master of Zen.
Not: There once was a girl from Nantucket.
Notes: not case-sensitive, punctuation doesn't matter
(don't feel obliged to follow these, James just put these here to be more
helpful)

Buddha
Has: He taught students in the den.

Kevin
Has: He knew where the koan was at.

Robert
Not: She put all her socks in a bucket.

Paul
Has: Past time and space, he always saved face, but never knew where or
when.

Mondo
Only Kevin got it correct.

Robert
Has: She never, ever wondered why.

Mondo
Only Paul got it correct.

Guess-Paul
A koan has the buddha nature if it has a two-syllable word which does not
end the sentence.
Disproven by
Has: It has a high hat.

(note: Paul mistakenly guessed out of order for this one . . . this was
when we finalized how to make guesses)

Paul
Not: Will we ever solve this infernal puzzle?

Buddha
Not: There once was a Master of Limericks.

Kevin
Not: There once was a Master of Rhythm.

Mondo
Only Paul got it correct.

Guess-Kevin
A koan has the Buddha nature if (1) its third to last letter is a z, d, s,
h, e, or w; and, (2) if the third to last letter is a z, the second to
last letter is not also a z.
Disproven by
Has: Watch now the Master / Counting up words calmly / Buddha nature
comes.

Robert
Has: It was a high hat.

Paul
Not: The weather was unusually wet.

Buddha
Not: James Bond wanted the Buddha nature.

Mondo
Everyone got it.

Kevin
Has: My name is Kevin, yes it is, my name is Kevin, pass the fizz.

Guess-Kevin
